Guest Identity — 1.ID Passport and ID Scanning for Hotels

1.ID captures passports, national ID cards and driving licences at the front desk in seconds. Data is read from the machine-readable zone and chip, validated, and written straight into the PMS registration card — removing retyping errors and producing the records regulators expect.

Guest Identity FAQs

Which documents can 1.ID read?
Passports, national identity cards, residence permits and driving licences from most issuing countries, using the machine-readable zone, OCR of the visual zone, and the electronic chip where present.
How is guest data protected?
Document images and extracted data are encrypted, access is role based and logged, and retention periods can be configured so records are deleted automatically once the legal requirement expires.
Does it integrate with our PMS?
Yes. Captured fields are written into the guest profile and registration card in the PMS, so staff do not retype anything.
Can it be used away from the front desk?
Yes. Tablet-based capture supports lobby, kerbside and group check-in desks using the device camera.
What hardware is required?
Either a full-page passport scanner at each desk, a compact card reader, or a supported tablet. We recommend the mix after reviewing your arrival volumes.
