Who we are

ITSthe1 is a hospitality technology provider based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, delivering hotel IPTV, OTT, digital signage, networking and managed IT services. For the purposes of data protection law, ITSthe1 is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

What personal data we collect

We only collect data that we need in order to answer enquiries and deliver our services:

• Enquiry data - your name, company, work email address, telephone number, region, product interest and the content of your message when you complete a quote or contact form.
• Customer and project data - contact details of hotel staff, site details, support tickets and correspondence relating to a deployment or managed service.
• Technical data - IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed and time on page, collected through server logs and analytics cookies.
• Recruitment data - any CV or application details you choose to send us.

How we use your data and our legal basis

We process personal data for the following purposes:

• Responding to enquiries and preparing proposals - steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract.
• Delivering, supporting and invoicing contracted services - contract performance.
• Improving our website, security and service quality - our legitimate interests.
• Sending relevant hospitality technology updates to business contacts - consent or legitimate interests, with an unsubscribe link in every message.
• Meeting accounting, tax and other legal obligations - legal obligation.

Sharing your data

We never sell personal data. We share it only with parties that help us run the business, including cloud hosting and email providers, IPTV and hardware vendors involved in your project, professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it. Every supplier is bound by confidentiality and data protection terms.

International transfers

Because we serve hotels across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia, personal data may be transferred to or accessed from countries other than your own. Where data originating in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom is transferred outside those areas, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses together with appropriate technical safeguards.

How long we keep data

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 24 months. Customer and project records are kept for the life of the contract and then for the period required by UAE accounting and tax law, normally a further five years. Server logs are retained for up to 12 months.

How we protect data

We apply access controls on a least-privilege basis, encrypt data in transit using TLS, keep systems patched, back up critical data, and require confidentiality commitments from staff and suppliers. No system is perfectly secure, but we review our controls regularly and investigate any suspected incident promptly.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email sales@itsthe1.com. If you are in the EEA or UK you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.

Children

Our website and services are aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or the law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be highlighted on the website.
